Why did CDS get the 2022 Snow Removal contract?
CDS was granted the 2022 snow removal contract in the summer of 2021. The circumstances of the issuance of the contract were that CDS contacted Hilltop management inquiring if Hilltop was planning on using them again in 2022. Reasons being 1. CDS was receiving an unusual number of requests for proposals from associations who had never done business with CDS before. It was explained by these associations to CDS that many snow removal companies were ‘not bidding’ 2022 snow contracts because they could not get enough employees. The Hilltop snow removal requires more than 25 CDS employees to operate equipment, shovel driveways, salt etcetera. Hilltop was also advised that CDS was planning on purchasing a larger piece of equipment specific to the Hilltop site if awarded a contract and wanted to be sure the machine would be available.
The contract terms for 2022 were the same as for 2021. The master board unanimously voted to award CDS the 2022 snow contract.
