Why are the ponds not holding water?
The ponds are designed to hold water and are constructed using a clay material as a liner. It takes time for the clay to bind after construction. Some of our ponds were just lined this past fall and they will be evaluated in the spring. If any deficiencies are found, they will be corrected by the developer.
How and when will pond one be improved?
K Hovnanian has agreed to make some changes to part of the area around pond one. This includes the moving a fence, removing a large area of the “upland meadow see mix” and replacing it with sod. This work is expected to begin in the spring after the ground thaws and should be completed in a few weeks later.
